1. Who I am

This website (michaelasound.com) is operated by Michaela Bartoskova, an independent practitioner. I am the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: info@michaelasound.com.

2. Data I collect

Data you give me: your name, email address and location, and the answers you write in my forms, when you subscribe to the newsletter, apply for a consultation, book a session, register for a workshop, or send me an email.
Wellbeing information: if you choose to share health, emotional or personal background with me (in a form, an email or a session), this is sensitive information. I collect it only with your explicit consent, use it only to tailor our work together, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
Automatic data: your IP address, browser type and anonymous usage data, collected through cookies and similar technologies on my hosting platform (Wix).

3. Why I use your data and on what basis

Newsletter and workshop updates: with your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Consultation applications, bookings, sessions and payments: to respond to your request, to carry out our agreement, and to meet legal and accounting obligations.
Wellbeing information: with your explicit consent.
Website performance and improvement: with your consent, via analytics cookies.

I never sell or rent your personal data.

4. Who I share it with

I share data only with service providers who process it on my behalf, under data protection agreements:

Wix: website hosting and cookies
beehiiv: newsletter delivery
SimplyBook.me: session and workshop bookings
Stripe: payment processing
Jotform: intake forms
Google Workspace: email

I may also disclose data where the law requires it.

5. International transfers

Some of these providers process data outside the EU/EEA. Where they do, transfers rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

6. How long I keep your data

Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.
Booking and payment records: 7 years, as required for accounting and tax purposes.
Wellbeing information and session notes: until our work together ends, then securely deleted within 30 days.
Emails: I delete messages that don't lead to a booking or ongoing work within 30 days of replying. If we work together, they're kept until our work ends, then deleted.
Consultation applications that don't lead to working together: deleted within 3 months.

7. Cookies

This site uses essential cookies, and analytics cookies only if you accept them. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie banner. Essential cookies are needed for the site to work.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time (this doesn't affect anything done before withdrawal). To exercise any of these, email info@michaelasound.com. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

9. Children

My services are not directed at people under 18. If I learn that I have collected data from someone under 18, I will delete it.

10. Changes

I may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new date.
